On December 28, 2024, Du Guofeng, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Yangtze University, Yang Quanhui, the Party Secretary of the School of Earth Sciences, Zhang Wei, the Party Secretary of the School of Petroleum Engineering, Zhou Jinhua, the Party Secretary of the College of Agriculture, Li Meiqiu, the Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Zhang Huafeng, the Dean of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Chen Zi, the Party Secretary of the School of Urban Construction, Huang Qunjun, the Party Secretary of the Medical Department, Chen Hui, the Vice Dean of the College of Life Sciences, Liu Xianming, the Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shui Tao, the Vice Dean of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Liu Xuhui, a professor from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Mei Fei, the Deputy Director of the Social Cooperation Office, Xiong Zhengping, the Honorary President of the Yangtze University Shenzhen Alumni Association, and Li Youkun, the President of the association, along with over ten other university leaders and alumni, visited the Matorly Technology Park. They conducted guidance and exchange work on the deepening process of the university-enterprise cooperation between Matorly and Yangtze University in 2024 and the achievements of industry-university-research collaboration. Peng Qidong, the Executive Director and CEO of Matorly, and Li Shouyong, the Deputy General Manager, warmly received Secretary Du and his delegation.

This exchange event is the enterprise visit section of the 2024 alumni association of Yangtze University in the Shenzhen branch. As a company founded by the genuine "post-wave" students of Yangtze University, Matorly has a deep affection for its alma mater. During this visit, Secretary Du and his team inspected Matorly and provided guidance on the integration of industry, academia, and research. Both the university and the company had in-depth discussions on the development of industries, breakthroughs in niche fields, and the strategy of localization.

Under the accompaniment of Mr. Peng, Secretary Du and his delegation visited the functional office area, digital exhibition hall, CNC processing center, parts assembly center, quality inspection center, and hydraulic control assembly center of Matorly one after another. Starting from the vision and mission of Matorly, Mr. Peng further introduced the development history and future plans of Matorly to the leaders and alumni of the alma mater, in combination with our market actions and performance in 2024.

In the just-passed 2024, the performance growth rate of our wellhead safety control series products reached 126%. Based on our determination to overcome technical challenges in the niche market and our market experience, we successfully completed the mature application of 30,000 psi products, achieved the breakthrough release of 40,000 psi products, and simultaneously carried out technical reserves for even higher pressure grades. We intensified our R&D efforts to continuously deepen our focus on the niche market, ensuring that our products maintain strong competitiveness in the highly competitive market.
In the assembly workshop, the leaders of the university and alumni were very interested in the components and parts that Matorly was assembling. When they learned that under the same conditions, the price of imported products was several times or even dozens of times that of Matorly's independently developed and produced products, they all gained a deeper understanding of why Matorly adheres to the enterprise strategy of full domestic production.
“We not only have a professional R&D and design team for fluid control components, but also have mature front-end and back-end capabilities such as CNC processing and component assembly. This is not something that can be easily replicated. The fluid control component market has great potential, but the entry threshold is gradually increasing. In the past two years, a wave of "localization" has swept across all industries in China. The full localization of fluid control components is related to the application costs of related enterprises and also to the sustainable development of national energy. Overcoming "bottleneck" technologies is the inevitable path for state-owned enterprises in the wave of localization and also the social responsibility and historical mission of domestic enterprises. “

At the end of the exchange meeting, Secretary Du also made a brief summary of this visit to Matorly:
“What Matorly is doing now is a perfect application of the knowledge they learned at university. Under professional guidance and meticulous cultivation, they have achieved the current success in the current development stage. This is not only due to their unique insight when choosing a niche market, but also their correct grasp of the development trend of the energy industry. We also hope that more and more students from Changda University can enter enterprises like Matorly, combine what they have learned at their alma mater with practical applications in the enterprise, and in turn provide some new ideas for the discipline construction of their alma mater. “

As early as May 2024, the School of Mechanical Engineering of Yangtze University signed a talent supply plan with Weiteli, designating Weiteli as a talent internship base for Yangtze University students and holding a formal plaque presentation ceremony. This time, the visit by Secretary Du and his team has further expanded the scope of cooperation between Weiteli and Yangtze University to more specialties and research areas. On the other hand, with Weiteli's further focus on the dual product lines of wellhead safety equipment and fluid components in 2024, the precise demand for specialized talents has been further refined, making the direction of school-enterprise cooperation clearer and more diverse.

In 2024, Matorly witnessed rapid development. A delegation of leaders from Yangtze University visited Matorly for exchange and guidance, adding a brilliant stroke to our year-end achievements in 2024. We look forward to writing more new chapters in the practice of school-enterprise cooperation between Matorly and Yangtze University in 2025.
